Boys & Girls 8-10 years old
Cub Scout Award Scheme
Cubs is for Boys and Girls aged between 8 – 10 years
At cubs you can become an Australian Adventurer, tackling the wilds of the national parks and surviving the elements of the beach and desert.
Under the guidance of your leaders you will be able to investigate, analyse and unearth the mysteries of human habitation of Australia.
Each week we learn about many different and fun things from the unique Australian Environment to our founder Lord Baden Powell.
Meet lots of new friends to share time and stories with.
At Cubs you will be part of a group called a “six”. Each six has leaders called the “sixer” and “second”; he or she will assist you in learning new things and move your way through the award scheme, eventually you may become a sixer or second also.

The Promise, Law and Prayer
The promise, law and prayer are important parts of scouting, you will often hear a leader say “the scout law is the law of the camp”
When someone is invested into Scouting they understand the promise and law and agree to live by these.
Cub Scout Promise
On my honour, I promise, that I will do my best, to do my duty to my God
and to the Queen of Australia, to help other people and to live by the Cub Scout Law
Cub Scout Law
Cub Scouts are loyal and obedient, cub scouts do not give into themselves.
Cub Scout Prayer
Help us oh lord, to serve Thee day by day, to do our duty, and enjoy our play, to keep our Cub Scout Promise, and to rest, happy we have tried to do our best.
